Pardubice - a city of gingerbread, horses and sports, is ideal for active recreation, sport, relaxation and fun. The city and its surroundings can be wandered on foot or by bike.
A historical trail of William of Pernstejn and the trail after the traces of The World War II will guide you through the history of the city and introduce you to the ancient nooks, as well as to large parks full of greenery, to the local chateau, or perhaps to a secret shelter in the chateau roundel. You can go on skates or on a bike on a cycle path along the Labe river to the Kunetice Mountain Castle or visit the Gingerbread House (Pernikova chaloupka in Czech), where you can learn about the history of production of the traditional Pardubice gingerbread and taste some of it. In the evening you can enjoy a special tasting of a special nineteen-grade Pardubice Porter beer, or visit one of many traditional events that are held there throughout the year. You can come to Pardubice at any time and you will certainly not get bored there.
