The Old Kladruber horse had been purposefully bred for centuries as a carriage horse for the imperial court, but has found place and use even today.
The Old Kladruber horses are great for team competitions and conventional dressage. Besides, the Old Kladruber horse can be seen at various festivals and cultural events throughout the Czech Republic. The Old Kladruber horse can be seen in the demonstrations of the jumping quadrille, vaulting with children or the baroque pas de deux in costumes. The Old Kladruber horses can be admired at special performances such as the Hungarian Post or pushball (horse soccer).
For their calm and balanced temperament, they are often used for hippotherapy and are ideal partners for leisure riding. The Old Kladruber horse can be however seen also in parks and in cities like Pardubice, Ostrava and Prague, where horses are used for work purposes by mounted police.
